How much does a website cost?

The number one question that we get at Ventin is “How much is it going to cost?” Well, we’re not cheap, but we’re not real expensive because we want to make sure we offer a good price point that you’re comfortable with and that you might be able to make a little bit of profit off of. So we’re not going to be, you know, $500 like a lot of these spammers from other countries will try to get you to buy the websites for.

But, you have to understand we’re providing you with a custom built, custom designed, hand-crafted (which means we means we go and actually hand code this thing out) website that is professional grade. I mean, we start selling these things at four or five thousand dollars, so that’s the kind of value that you’re going to be providing to your clients, and you’re going to get it at a fraction of that cost.

We don’t publish our pricing because we only want to give our pricing out to partners that we know are going to benefit from that and they’re going to be able to consistently provide us with work. So we want to make sure that you’re the right fit for us, and we want you to know that we’re the right fit for you, before we go and tell you exactly what our pricing is.

I want you to think about it this way:

You know, I used to work at an agency and we didn’t make any profit off the websites. The point of the website was not really to make any profit, it’s a loss leader; because they offer digital marketing services. If you look at the website from an agency point of view, as a loss leader, a … because what you’re doing is you’re getting the foundation built, you’re getting the foot in the door.

Once you have that there, your client is going to want you to do all the marketing services. The way we like to pitch this is, don’t look at the website as the way that you’re going to make a profit, look at it as the way that you’re going to ensure your profit so that you can offer more marketing services and you can make more money doing what it is that you actually love to do. You don’t want to spend all your time trying to figure out how to build websites. You want to spend all your time trying to figure out how to sell them more marketing services, and I want to spend more time building that website for them so that you can keep selling them more marketing services.
